Weslo Cadence 25 Review
5 08 2008I present to you- my new treadmill:

I got this bad boy at Big 5 Sporting Goods, on sale for $299, usually priced $399
I have to admit, Im pleasantly suprised. For being so cheap, it is suprisingly strudy and quiet.

It folds up and rolls out of the way for easy storgae- which doesnt help me yet because i didnt clean out my spare room like i should have done first, so now its in the middle of my living room.
It took the boy about and hour to put it together, with minimal swearing, so I would say its pretty easy to assemble.

That picture is a little blurry, but the display is nothing special. It marks speed, and distance, plus calories burned which is completely inaccurate, but I don’t use that feature anyway.

The incline is manual, so I just leave it at its, highest, but its is no problem to switch. the thing is pretty light so you can adjust it no problem.
Its nothing special, but it works, is quiet and didn’t put nearly as much of a dent in my wallet as I thought buying a treadmill would. If you are just looking for a way to move inside, I would definately recommend this, but if you want accurate heart rate/calories burned- you may need to spring for a more expensive model.
LisaR I will post your motivation question question tonight on Grounded Fitness.

Dude, if I had a treadmill I would totally put it on prime display in the living room for keeps. And, knowing me, I’d name it.
are you SMITTEN?
only sort comitted?
fully in love?
I so cant tell from the post….
Enjoy! At least if it’s in the living room you can be entertained while you run, right?
looks very nice and what a great price!
FBG- yeah i hear you are good at that. Mone could use a name- any ideas??
MizFit- totally smitten and totally committed. I wrote this in a bit of a hurry- but i love it! theres no way I can justify sitting and watching tv when i can walk/run. and now no workout guilt cause i dont want to to waste gas money driving to the gym. its a great way to keep me cheap and lean.
charlotte- i exactly. and i have a fan i can sit right next to me, and little ledge on the display so i can read. i need to master writing on the treadmill though- that would be the ultimate time saver.
workout mommy- yeah its very sturdy for the price- i wasnt expecting it to be so nice!
oh man — even sexier than i was hoping for!
now i just have to tell myself that it’s not feasible to own a treadmill until i actually have my own apartment and not a small one shared by 5 girls. sigh.
Great deal! My neighbor bought one for $1,200 and never uses it….
It looks perfect for my place…hmmmmmm
Nice! Tis simple but gets what you need done. Congrats!
Ooo that’s fantastic - good to know there are less expensive alternatives that don’t suck!
Ooh, nice mill and great deal!
I like the big buttons. When I’m running I need big buttons.
OOhh im SO jealous, my mom has a tread that she bought for a grand a year ago and it literally still has bubble wrap on the sides, because the idea of my mom doing cardio is just plain laughable. But she won’t give it to me because she is mean.
Will SOMEONE please give me a freakin treadmill??????
I did a step class and weight class the other day…after the weight class i felt a slight pain/pull in my lower back/upper butt area. It hurt really bad later that ngiht and yesterday so I took yesterday off of working out cept for a easy walk. Today I still felt the pain but am a very active person and trying to train for a half marathon, so I tried to run but could barely do a mile without too much pain. DO you have any suggestions for me?? I want to still stay active. I am so used to it and eating like 3000 cals a day because of it and dont wnant to stop or have to cut back or gain weight haha. I just cant even pinpoint where it’s at…like one side, low back/butt part but sometiems it kind of feels like a hip joint too
My mom tells me I just need rest but what do mom’s know??
Oooooh it looks lovely!
a2p- 5 girls? i had 1 roomate once and i couldnt even handle that. i like to know that if i have the urge to dance naked at 2 in the morning through my living room i dont have to check with anyone first.
missicat- i hate when people do that. why cantthe ruch lazy folk do something nice for us poor motivated ones?
alice- it does indeed, and thats all i was looking for.
nora- it does not suck. not one bit.
tfh- i usually just rip the little magnet off. its very satisfying.
lauren- they know lots. it sounds like an overuse inury, and the only thing you can do for it is rest. i know its annoying but if you continue to use it, you will only make it worse. if you dont notice improvement, i would go to a doctor, or just go to a doctor first so they can give you a time frame and you can plan out your training accordingly.
sagan- thanks!
eek that belt looks rather short! i might recommend moving the treadmill away from that table…
Thanks for the review. So cheap! Does that 10 on the console mean that it goes to 10 mph?
Verrryyy cool.
Best of luck with your new toy!!
hahahah I like the swearing index as a measure of how challenging something is to put together
The boy did a great assembly job, the treadmill looks awesome!
